Terms of use

Playing

Letterhop is free to play. Be kind: names show on a shared screen, so rude names are replaced automatically, and the host can remove any player.

Fair play

The server checks every word and runs the timer. Don't try to cheat, spam guesses or overload the service. We may limit or block devices that do.

Words and definitions

Word lists: the ENABLE dictionary (public domain) and lists built from SCOWL by Kevin Atkinson. Definitions from Wiktionary (CC BY-SA). Offensive words are filtered, but no filter is perfect. Tell us if one slips through.

No warranty

The game is provided as is. Live games can end if the server restarts.
